Another Burnet Update

Here's the latest on next week-end's Burnet Railfare Event.

FRIDAY - August 23, 2002
Jim will be towing the trailer. He plans on leaving Branch Creek Estates
around 2:30pm and arriving in Burnet around 4:00pm. We will be setting up
the layout in a building that use to be the Branded Street Restaurant. Its
located on the corner of Jackson Street and Boundry Street, very close to
the Burnet Community Center (401 E.Jackson Street). Steve will be the FAT
Controller and will be in charge of setting up the layout in the 29'x22'
area that we will be using.

We should be able to unload the trailer in front of the building we will be
using and then the trailer can be parked in the community center parking
lot. Part of the building we will be using will also be used by the public
as an eating area and a couple of vendors may also be in the building. We
should have as many chairs and tables as we need.

SATURDAY - August 24
The show is open to the public from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Ira has volunteered
to be the FAT Controller but we could use another 1 or 2 volunteers. Most
of the vendors will be in the community center and we should have passes
that allow members to get into the community center for free. We also have
6 complimentary passes for the Betram Special Event Saturday evening and
those of you who requested tickets can pick them up at the community center.
(I think the train leaves at 6:00pm.)

SUNDAY - August 25
The show is open to the public from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Scott has volunteered
to be the FAT, but again, we could use another 1 or 2 volunteers. At 4:00pm
we'll tear everything down, load the trailer, and head back to Austin.

We will be selling raffle tickets for a Safari Train and a couple of other
items both days. I haven't heard from everyone but it looks like we will
have a good turnout so we should be able to have some fun, run some trains,
and maybe find some good bargains from the vendors.

Let me know if you have any questions.

See ya in Burnet!!

Ron
