"gently"???   aw c'mon, show that baby 18 volts and make it earn it's keep.  At
that voltage somethin's gotta smoke.  What would happen if you added a second
resistor to the smoke unit?  In parallel?, series? hmmmmm.  :-)

ha ha, just kidding.  Did they happen to have a price for a complete fan driven
smoke unit?  I have been considering adding one to a dummy unit.
