I think the 8x32 would work even though it would end up being half way down the next module on each side, that may not be a bad thing. Technically though, if all we want to cover is the corner we will need something more along the lines of one 8x32 and two 8x24 pieces for each corner. This could cut the cost significantly
The siding pieces would need to be 8x48 each. I would put these on a lower priority level.
I think the groove in the moulding we have discussed is a little over 1/4". It would take 1/4" plus some masking tape along the bottom edge to make a secure fit.
I don't think the rope will work for our needs. I think it would actually be better than plexiglass for a static layout if you could make a high tension fence.
If we keep adding these projects we may need to address our dues. We definitely can't do it if everyone doesn't get their money in, which the last newsletter leads me to believe hasn't been done.

Subject: Re: Plexiglass on the corners
I found a place on the internet that sells custom cut plexiglass. An 8"
tall by 32" wide piece is $8.00. We'd need 3 for each corner, that's $24.
times 4 = $96.
Plus 4 more maybe for the siding areas? $32
Total $128 plus shipping.
Doesn't sound that expensive to save my $1000 train.
Is 1/8" too thin? If it's only 6" above the module, I would think 1/8"
might be stable enough if they're joined by ron's white thingies he found at
Lowes.
Or do we need 1/4?
