SAMRA Show Operating Schedule

Hi Guys,

Next week is the SAMRA show. According to the list I have, we will have 14 members participating
(which includes 3 sets of father-son pairs).

The show is open on Saturday from 8:30 AM until 4:00 PM. This gives us 7-1/2 hours of operating time.
If we divide this time up into three slots, this gives us twelve 2-1/2 hour time slots for us to operate
(3 time periods times 4 tracks). These slots would start at 8:30 AM, approximately 11:00 AM
(+/- 15 minutes for switching trains), and approximately 1:30 PM (again, with time to switch trains).

I would like to put together a tentative schedule so we know when each of us will be running trains
(as opposed to looking around). Please tell me if you would like to operate early on Saturday (early enough
to set up your train between 8:00 AM and 8:30 AM), mid-day, or afternoon. If you will be around for
more than one of these time periods, please let me know that also.

If you would rather a different type of schedule (e.g. multiple 1 hour operating slots instead of a single
2-1/2 hour slot during the day), please give me any suggestions you have. I would like to make sure
every one attending the show has a fair shot at operating his trains. Also, please let me know if my
assumption that Randall and Ryan, Rob and Grady, and Rick and Ricky can each be assigned a single
slot or if you want individual operating slots for the individual members.

We also need volunteers to be FAT controller for the show. I would suggest that anyone who didn't have
the opportunity to be a FAT controller last year volunteer for this show. We could use two or three
people to cover the show - either one for the morning and one for the afternoon or one for early morning,
one for mid-day, and one for the afternoon.

We also need someone to volunteer to be the FAT controller for Friday's setup. This person
has to design the layout and coordinate setup. In my opinion, this job should be done by an experienced
member (Adrian????).

Thanks. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you at next week's show.
