Re: Club Car
Ed,
It looks like there is some interest in producing a run of club cars so
would you get some basic information for us as to the cost of making the
cars, how long it would take to produce the cars, suggested sale price, a
couple of design ideas, etc. Maybe even a car that the guy in Laurel,
Mississippi has made so we can see his work. It could be something we can
discuss at the work day or at the SAMRA show.
You've generated some feedback on this from several members so you may want
to recruit a couple of members along the way to help you out. It looks like
some people might have some good ideas and we may even have a member or two
with some maketing experience.
I like the idea of a Texas theme or a UT theme because I believe it would
help marketing and you could add new cars easily. If you wanted to be
optimistic with the UT football idea you could even plan for a 2002 National
Championship car. The only problem with UT is that I've heard its almost
impossible to get anything with a UT Logo or burnt orange on anything
because UT holds all of the rights. But it might be worth checking.
Another theme idea could be Texas cities; Houston-tank car; Fort
Worth-cattle car; East Texas-log car; and I'm sure some part of the state
could represent a bio-hazard car.
