If you want to do what you suggested, why can't you do that using the CAB-1?  You would just leave the
siding set to "siding power" and use the CAB-1 to turn off the power to your mainline, after positioning
the train near the turnout.  You can still run the train on the siding using "siding power".

However, I don't understand how you would use this scenario.  When you try to move the train out of the
siding onto the mainline, the train would start up and stop when it hits the mainline, since the mainline
power is turned off.  When you turn the mainline power back on, both trains would start running.  Of course,
due to the different characteristics of the e-units, each train may start up in a different state (forward,
reset, neutral before forward, etc.) and I am not sure how you would control them.

I suspect none of these problems exist with command controlled engines, since you can just leave the
power level on the siding set to maximum (using either "siding power" or "mainline power") and control
the incoming and outgoing trains independently using the CAB-1.
