Re: Live Oak Update

Adrian,

I have my three bridge modules at home they are still being scended but are in good operational order.  I will be out of town on business at least the first half of next week and may unfortunately miss the show altogether.  Regardless I would only be able to make it on Sunday.  I can get you the modules this weekend if they are wanted.

        Subject:        Live Oak Update

For some time I had a feeling that I was not getting all of my e-mail
messages so yesterday I loaded a new e-mail program on my home
computer.  I've already discovered a couple of messages that I didn't get
and I'm sure there's more.  The following is what I have for next
week-end's AMRE show at Live Oak.  Let me know if there's areas that need
to be updated because I missed your e-mail.

Friday Afternoon:  Adrian will be towing the trailer and plans on getting
to Live Oak around 4:00/4:30 pm.  So far Ira, Bob, Scott (later in the day)
and myself will be there to help Adrian set up the layout in our 26'x22
area.  Contact Adrian if you have a module you plan on bringing that is not
in the trailer.  We will also try and inventory the items that are in the
trailer.

Saturday:  The show runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm.  Exhibitor badges will be
handed out Saturday morning from 7-9am.  We have been asked to enter
through the large roll-up door at the rear of the building before the show
opens to the public.

The following people have told me they will be at the show on
Saturday:  Ira, Steve, Bob, Scott, Adrian, and Joe.  We will also be
selling raffle tickets and we also have a table to sell items.  Steve,
Scott, and Rob have indicated that they may bring something to sell.  Bob
will be in charge of the raffle and everyone will have to share space since
we only have one table.

Saturday night from 5-8pm there will be a bar-b-que picnic at the Texas
Transportation Museum, 11731 Wetmore Road.  Written directions on how to
get to the museum will be available at the show.  I have told AMRE to
expect about 6 people from our club: Bob, Adrian, Ira and Lorraine, Rick
and Ricky.

Sunday:  The show runs from 11:00am to 4:00pm and early entry to the show
will be via the large roll-up door in the rear of the building.  We'll
still be selling raffle tickets, selling items, and running trains.  I plan
on being there, along with Ira, Bob, Scott, and Adrian.  We'll announce the
raffle winners, tear everything down, and Scott will tow the trailer back
to Austin.

I think because of some of my lost e-mails that there will be more people
at the show than I have listed.  Let me know if you see any mistakes.

A couple of times during the last show we had a lot of people ready to run
during part of the show and only a couple of people running trains at other
times.  If you can, let me know if you plan on being there part of the day
or all day long.  We may be at the point again where we can schedule run
times for everyone, aka Fat Controller.  This would  assure that we have
enough people manning the layout/table and also give everyone time to shop,
eat,  take breaks, and make the show more enjoyable for everyone.

Thanks--Ron
