It looks like an interesting idea.
If we start with 31’ diameter in the center, space the tracks about 2-1/2”
apart, and have 7
layers (they had 8) this would fit on a 4’ x 4’ square board. We
would have to use some
kind of flex track to build it. The grade going down in the middle
would be a little steep.
The trestles to hold the grade going across the spiral would be difficult
with that
tight spacing (unless it was just anchored in the center and on the outside
and
stiff enough to “float” across the spiral.
We could build this in the middle of the layout, attaching to the interior
sidings or to
either end of the D10 module.
