Day Out With THOMAS

The Museum of the American Railroad presents "Day Out With Thomas", March 28-30 & April 4-6, 2014 @ The Grapevine Vintage Railroad in Grapevine, Texas.





FRISCO, TX (January 30, 2014):  The Museum of the American Railroad received the first of two historic diesel-electric locomotives from TXI this morning.
A longtime supporter of the Museum, the concrete producer recognized the historical significance of this locomotive and chose to preserve the unit rather than send it to scrap.  It had been recently retired from plant service at TXI's Hunter facility in New Braunfels, TX.
