Scott,
22’ x 12’ only leaves room for a 3 x 0 layout. We would need
approximately 18’ x 22’ to do a 2x3. From what I understood,
they want to be able to walk around the layout, so putting it against
one wall doesn’t appear to be an option.
Making 4’ aisles gives us approximately 24’ x 14’, which would
give us a 3 x 1.
Making the aisles only 3’ wide gives us approximately 26’ x 16’,
which gives us space for a 4 x 1.
I don’t know how narrow the aisles can be. There is probably a
fire
code restricting the aisles. Also, to be handicap accessible,
the
aisles have to be wide enough to accommodate a wheel chair.
The 45 degree modules are much larger than the 90 degree corners.
Just putting the corners together (using two pairs of 45 degree
modules
and one pair of 90 degree corners) would take up about 13’ x 13’
(without
any linear modules). There might be room for a 2 x 0 layout using
the 45 degree modules. That doesn’t help.
Have you thought about the possibility of just setting up Joe’s
modules
instead of our layout? From what I understand, if you set up
the
Left and Right modules and the 1-4 modules, you get a dog bone
with a reversing loop,
