Re: MTH DCS TIU Rev L

Scott,

Will plan to bring my TIU-L to set up for the Live Oak Show along with required cable for tethering the the club's system and/or my system.  I went to radio shack today and bought a 25 ft black cable, the kind that collapses into a handy coil.  My TIU and Remote work just fine in tethered mode.

Am willing to help anyway I can with the testing/troubleshooting.  (Working in harmony and with a team spirit).

See ya' tomorrow at the board meeting during which I plan to be positive and constructive and team oriented.  If negativity emerges from others I will leave it to you to fix.

Bill

I was able to secure a legacy system  yesterday.  Still need to pay for it though so need to know a reasonable price for a used item.

I was not able to get TIU yesterday but maybe today.  Again used if available.  New is always a possibility too.

Bill, if easy for you, I think bring it to the show would be a good step.  First see if ours is working.  Then if not, plug hand held into the TIU and check.  then swap to see if improvement.

It sounds like the club is attempting to purchase a new TIU Rev L in time for the Oct 11 AMRE show.  Excellent!  We need second TIU as a swappable spare for sure.

I'm willing to loan the club my Rev L TIU for the show if the club's new one doesn't arrive on time.

I recently decided to have both 2 rail and 3 rail trackage and Command operation on my home layout (best of both worlds!) and so purchased a brand new MTH DCS Rev L TIU. It has the latest software revisions and runs both Proto 2 and Proto 3 engines very well.
