Pretty good response from GTE Houston… Looks like answers are yes to most of my questions… I’ll find Bill when I get there around 3pm to confirm and get our packet with exhibitor badges, etc.

I think the raffle is OK. I have to check with the facility to see for sure. Some have rules against it.
A very few items is OK. If it is a lot, we charge just to be fair to the other vendors that are selling.
Drive in is fine and we can leave trailers.

Thanks for the event info… I will let our TTAT members know.
Can you help us with answers to these questions please:
1. Can TTAT hold a raffle ($1 per chance or 6 chances for $5) for a Lionel starter set? We do this to help cover our expenses.
2. Can our members offer a few personal items for sale?
3. Can we pull into Hall D to unload trailer (i.e. where do we park the trailer for setup)?
4. Where do we park the trailer during the event? Is there a secure area?
5. Is there overnight security provided for the trailer and layout?

As you may know, the Great Train Expo has streamlined how you get your show specific exhibitor information.
The features are highlighted below and are designed to make the information more timely and accurate as well as reduce costs.
Here are the changes and how it will benefit you:
- Information will be posted About 14 days in advance of the show, not 21 days. This is about the same time you would have received the information before via the mail, but it will be 7 days more accurate. There are many changes that happen in the weeks prior to a show with dealers signing up at the last minute, layout dimension changes, or cancellations. Waiting an extra week will mean the information you receive will be that much more accurate.
- Many of you travel directly from one show to the next. Often you do not receive the packet in the first place. Many of you check e-mail and view the web while traveling, so this way, you will receive the information even while on the road.
- This will help to reduce the time and cost it take to produce the entire mailing and send it out.
- This will greatly benefit the larger clubs since all club members will now have access to the information, not just the one contact person.
- This will allow me to post changes should something cause major adjustments to the floorplan, even two or three days before the show.
Exhibitor Badges. I cannot tell you how many times at a show dealers and layout members come up to me and tell me “I left my badges in the room”, or “There on the kitchen counter back home”. To eliminate this problem, I will simply have the badges available at the show for you to pick up.
