Subject: Re: alternating switching
Hi Don,
I thought the wiring you were looking for was in the instruction manual for the
switches,
but it isn't.
Here is what I remember:
The switch has three terminals for connecting the controller. The terminal
closest
to the switch motor is the common wire. The other two terminals control
switching
to either the straight through position or the curved position. (This is
shown in
the instruction book for the switch.)
To automatically have a pair of switches alternating paths, I believe you
just
have to connect a wrie from the middle terminal of one switch to the third
terminal
on the other switch (and vice versa). This gives you two wires which
connect the
center terminal on one switch to the outside terminal on the other switch.
I don't
think you need any connection to the common terminal. You also don't have
to
connect the controller to the switches.
If this doesn't work, try connecting the middle terminals on the switches
together
and connect the outside terminals together. (I think this will force both
switches
in the pair to switch to the same direction, which is why I think the
previous
paragraph is the correct wiring.)
Perhaps someone else can confirm or correct my suggestion.
Good luck.
Ira
