My dad found something he was making build ups with but I do not know what
it was so I am not much help. It was dark brown and I thought it might be
gorilla glue? Sorry.
Here's hoping that someone out there is doing plastic repairs as I am
trying to do. I am refurbishing an old Lionel Tender shell and have to
build up one corner that was broken off. In the past I have tried Epoxy,
J-Weld epoxy, built up Gorilla Glue, Testors Model cement, crazy glue,
and others I can't remember. Either the material will not stick to the
plastic shell, or it remains too soft/pliable to be any good. The piece
I am working on was repaired previously with a dark blue material that is
fantastic. It dried to a crystalline finish and can be drilled and
sanded. Too bad I have no idea what it is. Any help from out there
appreciated.
There was a guy at the HO Guage show in Round Rock that was doing some
model repairs that looked really great. I did not get his name.
Anyone know who that was?
Ed: He had a table about 30 feet down from you along the
wall. Any idea who it is?
