Re: Train Repair in Rockport Area

Dwight, your welcome.  Good luck with your trains.  If you and your family happen to be in Austin over the holidays stop in and visit us and our Tinplate Trackers layout on Saturday and Sunday afternoons downtown by City Hall at 2nd and Lavaca streets in a retail space.  Big yellow sign in the window.  Easy to find.  Park free in the city hall parking garage across the street.  Regards, Bill

Bill, Great news, They have reopened on a smaller scale a toy store with trains. THey do repairs and resell also along with the online business. I just talked to Clay's wife and had a nice visit and they can do my repairs that I need to have done. I am elated. Thanks for the info and you might pass it on to the other guys.  Once again thanks for your  help.

Hi Dwight,
You may be in luck.

It turns out that Clay Kinsner the owner of the former Lone Star Trains in San Antonio moved to Port Aransas.  He closed his bricks and mortar store but still does business on his website.  Also, he is an officer in the Lone Star TCA.

When the store was open he did repairs and may have been a Lionel Authorized Repair station.  Not sure.

You can google Lone Star Trains or contact him thru the TCA chapter.

Good luck.
