Tuesday Train Time at Bill's Layout/Train Room

TTAT members,

 

This is to invite you to join us for Tuesday Train Time most Tuesday evenings at my place.  6pm to 10:30  pm.  Starting this evening, March 29.

 

Since alcohol is allowed it's and adults only event - 21 and over. Youngsters are the future of the hobby and I really enjoy sharing the layout with them.  I encourage you to contact me and we'll arrange a command performance tailord to their needs some other time.  

 

I send an email on Sunday evening to my "Tuesday Train Time email list" letting you know if the following Tuesday Train Time is A GO.  If you're interested in attending and wish to be on the list please email me DIRECTLY at 844bill@gmail.com.  Please do NOT reply on the general TTAT email list. 

 

The idea is to hang out, shoot the breeze and have fun with trains and related stuff.   We run trains.  Work on trains.  Watch train videos.  It's an excellent opportunity to learn more about command system operations and how to maintain and repair trains as I have a well equipped work area in the train room.  The layout is 32 X 17 feet in a multipurpose but mostly train room with a maximum capacity of around 15 persons and comfortable accommodations for about half that number.

 

You bring your own beverage, hard or soft,  and we chip in an buy pizza or the like.  If you have special dietary needs, you bring your own food.

 

The emphasis is more toward running scale trains in a fairly realistic manner and less toward the toy train part of our hobby.  Running conventional engines is possible but limited as my layout is built to run command equipped engines.  One conventional engine ties up the whole layout.   However, cleaning, lubricating, repairing and testing both command and conventional engines (and cars) is encouraged as I have a test bed for this on the workbench which does not tie up the layout.
