The Board decided to take up the invite to come to Hearne, Tx on April 9th and set up a small layout and run trains for the Grand Opening of the Hearne Train Museum that will be in an old Train Depot along the railroad tracks in Hearne. It will run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on that day. I have set up a Show Coordination Document on the club web page for this event. Please go to the web page and indicate whether or not you plan to participate in this event.
If you enjoy rail fanning and talking with people about trains, this sounds like a good place to be. The museum is themed around the Missouri Pacific, Southern Pacific, and Union Pacific since that is the rail lines that have run through Hearne through the years. The museum asked that we bring trains in those rail lines if we have them, but this definantly does not mean that you can't bring others. They would just like to see some of the historical ones for that area.
