RE: 027 tubular track

I believe K-Line used to offer a larger radius in the “O-27” style track but they are out of business now.

There are adapter pins available that will let you mate the “O-27” track with the larger “O” track. That would let you use any of the larger radius curves available in “O” track.

There may be other adapters to other style track such as FasTrack, RealTrack, etc.

Additionally there are adapter pins to the Gargraves or Ross brand pre-bent track curves.

The “O” track sits taller than the “O-27” track so if you used the “O” curves the “O-27” track would need something like cork roadbed to bring it up to the height of the “O” curves or it would have to ramp up to the height of the “O” track wherever they joined. The Ross and Gargraves track have a shorter rail height so they may end up being the same height as the “O-27” which would be a benefit.

To All You Knowledeable Train Buffs out there:

I have a great 0 guage train that derails on my small 027 layout.  I was told it would run OK if I used a larger radius circle on the corners.  I only know of the 027 tracks, two per corner for a standard radius.  Are there different radius 027 tracks that I could insert on my corners to change the raduis and allow that 0 guage train to run?  If so, where could I buy some.  I only need enough for 4 corners.  Thanks for any info.  Don Newman
